Australia Day on 27th January, marks the anniversary of the first fleet from Britain landing in Sydney Cove.
The Aussie wines will be demonstrated by special guest Joe Barrow from New South Wines and proceeds will go to Australia Red Cross.
Debbie Watts commented; “We have all been moved by the news reports of the bushfires burning in Australia and for close friends who have family in Oz, its an extremly worrying and difficult time.
“By holding this social and informative event we hope to raise funds with a chairty raffle for the Austrailia Red Cross to support its efforts in its vital work to keep people and animals safe.
Mick added: “Whenever we hold an event we choose a chairty to support to give something back and with Australia Day Anniversary being on 27th January it seemed a fitting cause to choose.
“There will be lots of different Aussie wines to try, reds, whites and a sparkling white. There are sure to be a few favorites among them. Tickets are selling fast though, so it’s important to pre-purchase your ticket at the shop, so you don’t miss out.
Joe Barrow of New South Wines added: “It will be an evening of sipping and swiriling some of the finest Australian Wines. I love demonstrating these wines and taking people through the origins and fabulous full bodied flavours.
“The devasting bushfires currently raging in Australia are dreadful, so if we are able to raise some funds on the night to give to the Australia Red Cross to help its fight, that will be fantastic.
“I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing my knowledge and of course some delicious wines too. Deb and Mick are great hosts, and I’m sure the evening will be brilliant.”
