Food Bank Fund
It is a challenging time for everyone at the moment and the current pandemic has bought a lot of uncertainty to thousands of families in the UK, which has triggered an unprecedented rise in foodbank use.
Since July, we have been asking for our kind readers to donate to our local Food Bank Fund, where we are raising money to purchase a shop of food and supplies ready to donate to local food banks throughout Hampshire.
Here is a list of local food banks drop off points we will be donating to:
PACT - Petersfield Methodist Church, Station Road
Horndean Churches Together - Horndean and Clanfield Foodbank
Co-op in Clanfield
Merchistoun Hall in Horndean
Beacon Food Bank donation points:
Asda Bedhampton
Tesco Havant
Waitrose Havant
Co-op Emsworth
So far, we have raised £250! We send a HUGE thank you to those who have donated or taken it upon themselves to donate directly to their local food bank.
If you would like to donate food or monies towards a food shop – please call us on 01730 260746 or email sales@thedirectorygroup.co.uk.
Alternatively, if you would like to make your own donation you can visit the donation points mentioned above. Ideas for items to donate include Teabags, coffee, sugar, jams/spreads, pot noodles (and similar), shampoos and deodorants, tinned food (especially meaty/ vegetarian meals e.g. chicken in sauce or curry), tins of veg and soup, desserts such as rice pudding and custard, cereals, toothbrushes & toothpaste.
