500 JOLLY SANTAS WANTED NOW for the South Coast’s biggest and jolliest virtual Festive Fun Run!
Your local Ho-Ho-Hospice needs YOU! The Rowans Hospice Charity calls on supporters to ‘Sign Up and Suit Up’ to take part in the South Coast’s biggest virtual Santa Run or Festive Walk.
The Rowans Hospice Charity is looking for 500 Jolly Santas to suit up and help spread some much-needed festive cheer this December! The Charity is calling upon as many local runners and dog walkers as possible to take part in the South Coast’s jolliest virtual ‘Santa Run’ and ‘Festive Walkies’.
Runners and walkers can get festively fit before the ‘Big Day’ or burn off those extra helpings of Christmas Pud by taking part in the South Coast’s biggest virtual 5K or 10K Santa Fun Run or Festive Walk for FREE.
Collaborating with local company, Believe & Achieve Events, this new, virtual version of the well-known Santa Run is a family-friendly free event, open to all ages and abilities and can be done where and whenever you like, whilst adhering to the latest Tier 2 restrictions.
Rob Piggott, Director of Believe & Achieve Events said, “I’m so proud to have been able to organise the Santa Fun Runs over the last 13 years, raising many thousands of pounds for local charities. Rowans Hospice is a fantastic Charity and I couldn’t think of a more worthy cause for the Santa Fun Runs to continue running, whilst raising much-needed funds, especially now we find ourselves in these worrying and strange times due to COVID-19. Let's bring some festive cheer to the end of what has been a very challenging year for so many of us. Get your Santa suit on, go for a run and have some fun this December! Believe and Achieve Events Ltd is proud to both sponsor and support this event now and over the coming years”.
Craig Willcock, Fundraising & Events Manager from the Rowans Hospice said, “Getting involved in what we hope will be the biggest South Coast virtual ‘Santa Run & Festive Walkies’ means our supporters and local community can do this at their own pace, in whichever area they live. The challenge is open to absolutely everyone – it is free to enter, and all we ask is for participants to either collect sponsorship or make a one-off donation of whatever can be afforded at this difficult time. And of course, there’s a free Santa suit for the first 500 sign ups! The important thing is to have fun, get festive and get involved to spread some much-needed Christmas cheer whilst supporting local Hospice care.”
Runners and walkers are encouraged to make a donation to the Charity or set up their own JustGiving page. Further details and sign up can be found on the Hospice website: https://events.rowanshospice.co.uk/events/santa-run
